WhatsApp before the call

Cold calls are cold for a reason. The borrower does not know the number, does not know why you are calling, and has already screened three unknown calls today.

WhatsApp changes the temperature before you ever dial.

The warm-up effect

A short, clear message — who you are, what is due, what the options are — does the introduction the call otherwise has to make in its first ten seconds. When the call lands afterwards, the borrower is expecting it.

  • Higher right-party contact. People answer a call they were told to expect.
  • Fewer wasted dials. Accounts that self-serve on WhatsApp never need a call.
  • A fraction of the cost. A message is cents; a call is minutes.

Two-way, not blast

The point is not to spray reminders. It is a conversation: promise-to-pay flows, payment links, and replies handled on the channel borrowers actually read.

The best call is the one you did not have to make because the account already paid from a WhatsApp thread.

Sequence the channels — message first, call second — and the whole funnel gets warmer, cheaper, and calmer.
